The in-house glassworks at PBFinestre's production facility represents one of the key strengths of PBFinestre's production process, where quality and innovation go hand in hand. Thanks to our integration with Esiglass, a historic glassworks in the region, we are able to produce top-quality insulating glass units directly in our facilities. This allows us to offer our customers superior thermal and acoustic performance, enhanced security, and durability over time that only a fully internal production process can ensure.
Compared to the past, windows now serve far broader purposes, ranging from protecting people to saving energy, ensuring summer comfort, and optimizing winter warmth. One of the fundamental elements to meet these needs and achieve optimal thermal and acoustic performance is undoubtedly the glass. For this reason, in 2009, PBFinestre acquired Esiglass, a historic glassworks in the Marche region.
Today, PBFinestre is among the very few companies that produce insulating glass units entirely within their facilities. Selecting the right glass is the simplest way to reduce cooling and heating costs while improving residential comfort and livability. The patented laminated glass technology achieves exceptional results in emissivity and overheating reduction. A special layer of acoustic PVB, a tear-resistant polymer material, acts as a shock absorber between the panes, preventing vibrations, eliminating critical frequencies, and maintaining transparency and high light transmission capabilities.
We also use warm-edge spacers, an organic foam material spacer that eliminates condensation issues, ensuring exceptional perimeter insulation and even preventing mold formation.
